If tears could build a stairway
And memories were a lane
We would walk right up to Heaven
And bring you back again
No farewell words were spoken
No time to say goodbye
You were gone before we knew it
And only God knows why
Our hearts still ache in sadness
And secret tears still flow
What it meant to lose you
No one will ever know
But know we know you want us
To mourn for you no more
To remember all the happy times
Life still has much in store
Since you'll never be forgotten
We pledge to you today
A hallowed place within our hearts
Is where you'll always stay

Breaking Up
Close to the door
She paused to stand,
As she put his engagement ring on his hand
All who were watching did not speak
As a silent tear ran down her cheek.
An through her mind the memories ran
Of the moments they walked and laughed
Throughout Lakeland.
But now his eyes are so terribly cold,
For she will never again have him to hold.
They watched in silence as she bent near
And whispered “I Love You” in his ear.
She touched his face and started to cry,
As she put his ring on she wanted to die.
And just then the wind began to blow
As they lowered his body down below.
This is what happened to April alive,
All because of that dark and foggy Wednesday night.

Dear Debbie,
Thank you so very much for the note, letter, and Brandon’s picture.
It was a very touching gesture for you to think of me.
As you know I do hold on to things. I had made a copy of Brandon’s letter for myself.
I still think so fondly of him. He was not rude or hostile like the other students sometimes acted.
We had very intelligent conversations. May 20th – after I left you, I bought
a beautiful teardrop Heart-leaf Philodendron hanging basket.
I had recently redone my sun porch – thrown out the wicker furniture I had bought
in 1981 – So this memory of Brandon brings warmth to my home and garden.
Sincerely,
Ann

Let Your Love Flow
He’s calling you now, He’s waiting for you
Tell Him your answer and make it be true
He loves you so much, more than you know
Accept His love, then let your love flow.
He constantly cares for me and for you
And gives us in time, the answers to use
It doesn’t matter how low that we fall
If we turn back to Him and give Him our all.
He understands that we’re not always good
So He gives us the strength to do what we should
No one on earth or in Heaven above
Can give us that strength or that kind of love.
So when He calls and awaits for you
Go with Him, you make that move
The love that He has, I hope you now know
So accept His love, and let your love flow.

Love Is…..
Love is giving without receiving
It’s being sincere and in sincerity believing
It’s someone to talk to and then talking to you
It’s telling and hearing only what’s true
It’s refusing belief that bad exists
It’s knowing when you’re gone that you’ll be missed
It’s trying to help in anyway you can
Even just lending a helping hand
It’s willing to learn how to give more
It’s getting things done without keeping score
It’s trusting in faith each and every day
It’s knowing you rate in a very special way

It takes a lot of bad times
To appreciate all the good times
You gotta know what sorrow is
To really feel the joy
You have to make some bad decisions
To know that you’ve made one right
You have to lose a lot of fights
To know when you’ve won something great
Well, I’ve gone through some bad times
And I really know what sorrow is
I’ve made plenty of bad decisions
And I’ve lost my share of fights
But the good times we’ve shared together
And the joy I feel inside
Makes me sure I’ve made the right decisions
And makes me sure I’ve Won This Fight.

The Seed of Love
Remember I said I’d always be true
I told you that I’d always love you
Well time has passed and the seasons have changed
And the things that we felt were all rearranged.
Neither of us knew what to do
And we strained our minds to find something new.
All of the day and most of the night
We struggled and strained and tried not to fight.
Then finally I decided that I had to leave
But I knew in my heart I’d come back to water the seed.
The seed had been planted and knew where to grow
And nothing could kill it, not frost, fire, or snow.
The reason I know this and know that it’s true
Is God told me so and I know he told you.
Well time is still passing and the seasons still change,
But the things that we feel don’t seem quite so strange.
Our love is the seed and our love makes it grow
Love is the water so turn it on and let it flow.
And give it daily to the everlasting seed of love.

Once Loved and Lost
Sometimes life doesn’t turn out as planned.
It leaves us in confusion,
And it’s hard to understand.
Overwhelmed with coulda woulda shoulda’s,
And all the what ifs.
The pain is hard to miss
Regreting the past,
Wishing you could take it back,
And missing the life you once had.
But there are lessons to be learned
Sometimes plans don’t work
You can’t hold a rose without getting hurt
It’s hard to lose someone,
That means so much.
Just like the rose thorns leave cuts.
Yet as times reveal, cuts heal,
And once again your heart will start to feel
Remember there wouldn’t be flowers
Unless there was rain.
Sometimes to be happy you must go through pain.
Don’t forget your past
You still have people who love you
Someday you’ll find someone who will help you through
Sometimes life doesn’t turn out as planned
And it’s hard to understand

Aunt Cathy passed away 6 years ago and Uncle Hank passed away last year.
I am sure they are all togehter now,
but they are all terribly missed by our family.
